ONE NIGHT STAND FOREVER, THE DEBUT ALBUM FROM SCOTTISH BAND WHITE HAS ARRIVED. READ WHAT WE THOUGHT HERE.
FINALLY, fans around the globe can get their hands on a copy of WHITE’s debut album, the 12 track LP isn’t only a work of art, it’s a masterpiece.
From the opening, a polished version of the bands early release “Living Fiction”, to the conclusion, the EP track “Private Lives”, WHITE manage to take you on a musical experience.
Previously unreleased tracks “Be The Unknown” and “Hit, Hit, Hit” are melodic and catchy. “Be The Unknown” features harmonic vocals and infectious “oo’s” that sit alongside lead singer Leo’s dynamic and unique vocal range.
“Hit, Hit, Hit” combines both Mike Skinner-esque verses with epic choruses and an incredibly tight drum-beat.
“Sweat” a song WHITE have been playing live recently is an actual club floor filler. The warping synths and hypnotic tones completely captivate the listener and adds great diversity to the album.
The diversity is also shown through “This Is Not A Love Song” and “How Can You Get Love So Wrong” the latter being an electronic ballad with serious emotion.
Of course, lead single and title track “One Night Stand Forever” sounds fantastic upon the record, as does previously released tracks “Future Pleasures” and “Fight The Feeling”.
“Blush” reappears on the album, a track which fans may have forgotten about, now revamped and fresh, it slots perfectly in with this albums overall sound.
“One Night Stand Forever” is one impressive debut, something that everyone should get their ears around. The key to it working so well? The diversity and freshness in its sound, no matter how many times you play it, you won’t get bored of this record.
