MICHAEL GALLAGHER – HOUSE MUSIC EP (Review)

ACOUSTIC SINGER-SONGWRITER MICHAEL GALLAGHER RELEASES HIS DEBUT EP. READ OUR REVIEW HERE

MICHAEL Gallagher has released his debut EP “House Music” and it’s a fantastic release for the Hartlepool based singer-songwriter.

Opening with the two minute feelgood track “Yesterday”, the three track EP is a great stepping stone to launch Gallagher into the big leagues.

“Yesterday” has a summery vibe to it, it’s fresh and laid back and emulates the sound of early James. The harmonic vocals add a great element to the track, as does the raspy cracks that burst out as Gallagher sings.

HOUSE MUSIC: The debut EP from Michael Gallagher

“45” is slower, the guitar tones are similar to very early Kings of Leon, but with every one of these tracks, Michael Gallagher puts his own individual sound upon them and it almost feels like his tracks are something completely new.

“Hopeless Love” ends the EP, it focuses more on the soft guitar picking element of the acoustic genre. The diversity in these three tracks is amazing, there’s literally something for everyone.

Michael Gallagher is someone you should definitely check out, if this debut EP is anything to go off, his future music is going to make him big.
