JOHNNY LLOYD – RUNNING WILD (Review)

JOHNNY LLOYD’S NEWEST TRACK RUNNING WILD IS SOMETHING SPECIAL. READ OUR VERDICT.

AFTER a successful debut EP, Johnny Lloyd is showing no signs of slowing down as he releases “Running Wild”.

An electronic, angelic intro is suddenly interrupted to make way for Lloyd’s crooning vocals as they bellow out an early version of the tracks chorus. It softens off and allows for Lloyd to paint a picture with his lyrics, before a tight bass line slides the track back into the chorus.

The whole track is different from Lloyd’s first EP, it’s still produced by the Maccabees very own Hugo White, but this time it has a more vibrant feel to it, it’s colourful and channels emotion in a different way.
