PLAZA – YOUTH (Review)

FOLLOWING on from the success that Hartlepool band Plaza had with their previous two singles (Totem/Blood Orange) “Youth” takes a darker tone and shows just how much this band is capable of.

PLAZA: Continuing their high standard of releases with “Youth”

This math rock anthem has a maturity to it, it’s something Plaza always bring to their music, a sound that suggests the boys have been making music for years.

The sampled drum beat reverberates through the background of the song with ambient guitars that tear over the top, it’s a step away from Plaza’s other work, but also fits perfectly into their every expanding catalogue of tracks.

With a bursting chorus and a sweet vocal breakdown that hears lead singer Brad Lennard ask “I want it all / do you want it all?”.

“Youth” is another fantastic track from Plaza. The song is streaming on Music Ninja now and will be released through Beyond The Wall tomorrow.
