Whitney – Golden Days (Review)

WHITNEY are gaining popularity fast and now with the announcement of their debut album “Light Upon The Lake”, it’s guaranteed they will only gain even more.

The first track “No Women” was met with positive reviews and their second single “Golden Days” deserves just as many.

The track mixes a soft guitar riff with an easy listening drum beat that creates the ultimate relaxing track.

The vocals have the elements of early Bon Iver, the pitch is high, like in all of Whitney’s tracks. Around the two and a half minute mark we hear “searching for those golden days” and the vocals disapear into a brass section, before returning for a flurry of “nah, nahs.”

The song is covered with a cetain vibe, it’s calming and perfect for a late summers evening. Coincidental as Whitney’s album comes out in time for Summer.
